My husband wont let me text my ex, but he text’s his…

A recent letter came into us from one of our fans. Please read it below

I find myself in a perplexing situation with my husband, and I need your guidance. It’s been quite a rollercoaster ride, and I’m hoping you can shed some light on this matter.

So, here’s the story: My husband and I have both been previously married, and while I understand that exes can remain in one’s life to some extent, it’s causing tension in our relationship. My husband frequently texts his ex-wife, and I must admit, it does make me uncomfortable. However, whenever I try to reach out to my ex-husband, my husband becomes upset and takes away my phone, claiming that it’s not okay for me to communicate with my ex.

I’m struggling to comprehend this double standard, and it’s starting to take a toll on our relationship. I want to trust my husband, but his reactions make me doubt his intentions. I’ve attempted to discuss this issue with him, but it always ends up in a heated argument.

How can I address this situation and find a compromise that works for both of us? Is there a way to communicate effectively about ex-partners without feeling threatened or guilty?

My real feelings are that I want to leave him but I don’t know how to say it as I am afraid. What should I do?
